Ten short leisure rides in Bristol

'Cycling Bristol' includes 10 great short bikes rides in and around Bristol. As well as the really well known routes like the Bristol and Bath Railway Path are the lesser known Frome Greenway and other largely off road routes such as the River Avon Trail.

There are also four specially formulated routes which utilise Bristol's wonderful off road cycle network as much as possible, like the Ashton Court Loop.

In total 10 rides of between two and 16 miles in length are mapped and explained:

  • St Phillips Greenway & Whitchurch Railway Path - Temple Meads to Horseworld - 5.3mi
  • Ashton Court Loop - Aston Court to Clifton - 6.6mi
  • Frome Greenway Loop - Centre to Stoke Park, Eastville and St Werburghs - 9.7mi
  • Malago Greenway - Centre to Bedminster and Knowle - 3.5mi
  • Harbour Loop - A lovely trip around the harbour - 2.7mi
  • Ashton Pill Loop - Along the Avon and back along the Pill Path - 15.2mi
  • The River Avon Trail - Centre - Hanham Lock  and Conham - 5.8mi
  • Blaise Castle Loop - Sea Mills to Blaise Castle and back - 7.9mi
  • Bristol & Bath Railway Path - Centre to Warmley and Oldham Conham - 9.5mi
  • Ring Road Loop - Mangotsfield, Oldbury Court and Fishponds - 8.2mi
